the rules
Five tiers — ore, ingot, blade, relic, crown — in five metals: iron, copper, silver, gold and cobalt. Every piece is a token, drawn on chain.
mining
- Each ore costs 1,000 $FORGE. Half is burned; half goes into the hoard. Mine 1 to 20 at a time.
- The chain draws each ore's metal, and whether it is flawless, at the current heat.
striking
- Strike pieces of the same tier and the same metal, worth at least three, into one piece of the next tier. The pieces struck are burned.
- A flawless piece counts as two — so a flawless and one other are enough.
- The forge has heat. Every strike — anybody's — adds 5°, to 100°; it cools 20° an hour. What comes out is flawless with odds of 3% cold, rising to 33% white-hot.
the crowns
- Only 21 crowns can ever be struck. Their molds are drawn on chain from the start.
- The molds open one at a time: crown k's mold opens (k − 1) × 8 hours after the forge is lit, so the last opens on day 7. A relic can only be struck into a crown whose mold is open; the first to do it takes that crown.
- Striking crown k pays the striker the hoard ÷ the crowns still unstruck, in the same transaction — two shares if the crown comes out flawless. The 21st takes everything left.
- After the 21st crown the forge is cold: no more ore, ever. Pieces can still be traded.
the market
- List any piece at any ask. The buyer pays it: 95% to the seller, 5% burned.
- Pieces are standard tokens (ERC-721) and can be moved or sold anywhere else too.
what the contract cannot do
Hold ETH, pay the hoard to anyone but a crown's striker, strike a 22nd crown, take a royalty, pause, or upgrade. The owner key names the token once and is inert forever after. The randomness is a recent block hash: good enough for a game, not a casino. Unaudited.
